Kendra Gudz, LMP I have to be honest, when I first went to school for massage, I just thought it would be a really cool skill to have. I didn't actually know it was a career! So, it is truly a passion of mine and I am endlessly fascinated with the complexity and perfection of the human body. For my degree, I attended Florida College of Natural Health in Sarasota, FL. It is one of the most prestigious massage colleges and Florida has continued to be a leader in the field. After graduation, I had a unique opportunity to work as an assistant to a well renowned chiropractor who had a very innovative office and is definitely a leader in his field. The knowledge and experience that I gained while working with him has proved invaluable. Apart from extensive injury identification and treatment techniques, I also learned how to read an x-ray and MRI. I feel that this has given me a great foundation, and along with my continued thirst for knowledge, I am able to provide my patients with an excellent level of care. |

Lauren Kuntz, LMP It was just after high school that I decided I wanted to continue my education and become a massage therapist. After some careful research and planning, I decided to attend Renton Technical College's massage therapy program which I graduated from in 2005. Soon after I joined North Bend Therapeutic Massage, and ever since I have felt privileged by the experience and company of my fellow therapists. I am very fascinated by the body and its capacity for healing and changing, and I'm always amazed at the results after even just one massage! Through deep tissue and treatment techniques I have seen many clients improve their functionality and decrease their pain which allows them to live life more comfortably and happily. I may not have known what a great profession this was in the beginning, but now I love doing massage therapy since it is a rewarding profession that really helps people out of pain. I am very thankful for having a great environment and people to work with every day. Working in my home town and close to home isn’t so bad either! I look forward to practicing here for a long time and continuing my education and experiences with our local community.

Roxanne Rust, LMP While my path to finding my passion for massage therapy has been a long and interesting one, it has lead me to a truly rewarding career. I have traveled the country, worked in live theatre, and gained experiences that all allowed me to see how vital caring for one's body is, specifically through the art of massage therapy. After 12 years as a theatre technician, observing dancers and performers, I knew that a career in massage was destined to be in my future. In 2002 I graduated from Ashmead Collage of Massage Therapy and began working at a spa while continuing to work evenings in live theatre. It was then that I realized how important massage had become to me, I wanted to make a full-time career out of helping people. After ending my career in theatre, I spent four years working for a chiropractor in North Bend. During this time I primarily worked with clients suffering auto injuries, work-related injuries or ones with chronic pain. Working with the chiropractor gave me invaluable knowledge and presented me with challenges that made me a better massage therapist. I live in North Bend with my husband and our young son and I am thrilled to be continuing my career in massage at North Bend Therapeutic Massage. While I do focus on treating the entire body, I specialize in injury treatment massage, deep tissue massage, and relaxation massage.

Heidi Temple, LMP I love doing massage. I put off going to massage school a number of times right after high school, but finally had the chance once again after my first child to just go for it. I am so glad and proud of myself for pushing beyond my comfort zone and finding exactly what I love to do. Massage feels like artwork to me. Each body is different yet we are all the same. I feel like it is a privilege to be trusted to work so closely with each client and am excited to be an instrument in empowering each individual to regain their own sense of harmony and balance. Sometimes this happens by addressing pain and at times a massage is simply an opportunity to quiet the daily chaos and reconnect with ourselves and this amazing body that carries us around.

Amanda Tapp, LMP I knew from an early age that I wanted a career that allowed me to help make a difference in somebody's life, I just didn't know as to what capacity. After attending and graduating from the University of Washington I realized that path was no longer passion driven. Fast forward a couple of years. I was given a gift certificate for my very first massage, which turned out to be a life changing event. After that massage I was hooked, instantly intrigued by the healing power I experienced, and so my journey into the world of massage began. Within six months of that life-altering massage I was enrolled and on my way to become a Massage Practitioner myself. I graduated in 2007 and have been enjoying it ever since. I love how massage has given me an outlet to apply my care taking skills and aid in the well being of people. I am continuously amazed in the human body and its faculties, which drives me to enhance my knowledge so I can provide the best care possible.
